This is a little spot on the web where I've decided to put links to tools that I find very helpful.

Spybot Search & Destroy:  A wonderful program that scans your computer for ad/spy/mal/whatever-you- want-to-call-itware and kills it dead.  It also has immunization features and a great process viewer utility.

nu2:  This website contains software for building incredibly friendly and exceptionally functional network boot disks.  A very handy thing to have if you have a computer you need to load Windows on with no CD-ROM drive.

Trend Micro's House Call:  Trend Micro is an anti-virus software vendor that created an ActiveX object that you can used to scan your computer for viruses right over the web.  It's always up to date, quick, and thorough.  The link for it is to the right of this column.

Lavasoft AdAware Personal:  Here's another great program that scans your computer for and eliminates junk software.

IP Address Calculator:  This is a script that takes an IP address and a subnet mask (or a number of network bits) and tells you the network number and the broadcast address.

HTML Autorun:  This page will show you how to make a CD-ROM (or other capable media) open an HTML file when it is inserted into computer.
